Up for sale is a matched pair (2 pcs) of genuine vintage NOS RCA 5814A (military premium robust version of the 12AU7 / ECC82) dual triode vacuum tubes, manufactured in the USA and complete with their original RCA Radiotron boxes. World-famous for their bulletproof reliability, ultra-low microphonics, tight bass control, and warm American midrange tone, these coveted early-production tubes feature rigid triple mica construction and top square getter rings. A superior replacement upgrade for audiophile preamplifiers, line stages, DAC buffer stages, and hi-fi amplifiers taking 12AU7 / ECC82 / 5814A series tubes.
Both tubes have been fully tested on a precision Amplitrex AT1000 tube tester. Measured Plate Current (Ip in mA) and Mutual Conductance (uMhos) alongside percentage performance ratings relative to nominal factory reference specs (Reference: 10.5 mA / 2,200 uMhos) are detailed in the table below.
