Up for sale is a matched pair (2 pcs) of genuine vintage NOS Sylvania 7N7 dual triode vacuum tubes, manufactured in the USA and supplied in individual white boxes. Built with robust black plates and classic metal collar Loktal bases, the 7N7 is the electrically identical Loktal-base equivalent to the legendary 6SN7 / 6SN7GT tube. Known among audiophiles as an incredible “secret weapon” upgrade, Sylvania metal-base 7N7 tubes offer incredible dynamic drive, deep bass extension, holographic soundstaging, and exceptionally low microphonics (with appropriate Loktal-to-Octal adapters).
Both tubes have been fully tested on a precision laboratory AVO Type 160 tube tester. Measured Anode/Plate Current (Ia in mA) and Mutual Conductance / Transconductance (mA/V or Gm) alongside percentage performance ratings relative to nominal factory reference specs (Reference: 9.0 mA / 2.6 mA/V) are detailed in the table below.
