Up for sale is a 100% factory-spec vintage treasure: a matched pair of GEC Osram 6J7G / VT-74 valves. Manufactured by MWT in Great Britain during the 1930s, these feature the desirable black coated glass and black base construction. Known for their low noise and exceptional musicality, they are a preferred alternative to the Western Electric 348A.
These units are New Old Stock (NOS) in mint condition and come in their original military brown boxes. Tested on the Amplitrex AT1000, the results below follow the Percentage Method (Ia = 2.0 mA / Gm = 1225 µMhos).
